I‘ve been on the chat sites, and answered a few of the issues that people have brought up especially about the present state of the world. Lots of you are quite concerned about lots of issues terrorism environmental issues etc. My question is “What are you going to do about it?
Do I hear what can I do?
The thing that seems to come through in your comments is that most of you seem to feel helpless, there seems to be an air of acceptance.
Are you not Witches and pagans and people who are into magic and earth mysteries in touch with your psychic side?
I ask again.
What are You going to do about it?
I know that you all recycle your waste do your bit to keep the environment tidy plant trees now and then, this is all very important; but on its own it will not save our mother Earth, we have to do more.
What more can we do? I hear you ask.
I know a lot of you hate politics and politicians; as do I but the inescapable fact of life is; everything is political, You hate it; I hate it; but if you are going to change governments then you have to get political vote for the party that will do the most good, stand for local councils yourself, anyone can stand as an independent, so what if you don’t win someone will have heard your message, lobby your MPs, don’t waist your vote it was hard enough won.
But if we really want to make change then we have to have the courage to act as Witches and magical folk. So I ask you one last time. What are you going to do about it?
You are a community of Witches so do what you are supposed to do, use your magic
to defend mother Earth and her inhabitants.
At the beginning of World War II a gathering of Witches stood on the south coast and used the weather to prevent Hitler from invading, some of them died in the attempt but they succeeded.
I don’t know if that story is true; but even if it is just a story it holds a message.
Dion Fortune’s group worked magic to stop Hitler right through the war. You can say that we would have won anyway; you can say that it didn’t make any difference, if you do say that you are not Witches, because Witches know that everything makes a difference, but what we need now is a really big difference Dion Fortune did what she could with what she had and it made a difference, but she did more than that she pointed the way and others listened.

We have done this before in the late eighties it was called Awakening the Dragon We got a lot of like minded pagans who all wanted to do something to heal the planet and at agreed times hundreds of people did a simple ritual invoked power and directed it to heal the Earth, things started to happen, The Berlin Wall came down, a lot of green M.E.P.’s got elected to the European parliament which scared the hell out of the main political parties in the UK; sparking off a new political interest in environmental issues. Most of Eastern Europe freed itself from the old USSR, supermarkets started to use biodegradable bags and re-cycle their cardboard.
If this was so good you might ask why the hell did it stop?
There is no one answer but it mainly came down to paranoia, this was all going quite well then one day someone said. How do we know that the people who organise this are not stealing our personal power and using it to their own ends? Then someone else said that the organisers are using it to control us all, then someone said we don’t like organisation anyway, inevitably the whole thing came apart. I suppose we lost the ideal of perfect love and perfect trust.
I am proud to say that Rich Westwood was one of the main organisers of Awakening the Dragon and my friend, sadly he passed away in 1989, he was a man who believed in what he did, he would never have abused anyone’s power in any way, the thought that he could abuse anyone’s power scared the hell out of him. He had a dream of a pagan community united in the course of healing the world.
My question to you is Do you have the courage to be Witches? Will you do what has to be done?
The Witches on the south coast in 1940 pointed the way Rich Westwood pointed the way.
It’s not just the courage to do; it’s the courage to put aside your differences and work with anyone who has a genuine desire to achieve the same goal, to be a community with people who may not share all of your ideals
Do you have the courage to follow their lead? Individually I’m sure you do but do you as a community?
Rich had hundreds of pagans of all paths Awakening the Dragon, mostly in the British Isles and just a few further a field, it’s the right idea but we need to be bigger.
What if all of the Pagans, Shamans, Druids, Witches, and anyone else who world wide believed in putting their power together to make changes actually did it. What do you think we could achieve?
Is it not our birthright and our solemn duty as Witches? Are we not guardians of the planet?
If we don’t do it no-one else will, it has to be now there is no more time, it’s why we exist.
If we can put the paranoia away and truly learn perfect love and perfect trust we can do it. For those of you who hate organisation, I ask you to put that aside for now; because there is no way that we can make this work without organisation.
Anyone who wants it can organise it, I don’t want the job but I will start because someone has to if there is anyone who wants to take control you are most welcome.
