Patricia Rashbook, a 63-year-old child pyschiatrist, is set to become Britain's oldest mother after undergoing controversial IVF treatment in Italy. But what do you think?, is this to old to have a child or as long as the women is fit and healthy then their shouldn't be a problem.?......

I think it is very selfish of them At her age, anything can happen. Her risk of death from heart attack, strock, etc, all before the child is of legal majority.
She will be 81 when the child is graduating from high school, assuming she and her husband live that long

I agree with WS. I know some people who had an accidental child late in life, although not that late. The couple could not deal with the huge generation gap and the child ended up in a foster home for most of his life. His dad (not that accidents don't happen to leave families without one parent or the other, or both) passed away before he was out of middle school.
To have a child purposely by medical intervention, maybe for the glory of 'being the oldest' or for whatever reason, does seem selfish.
